Deploying Firmware in SIM
To facilitate the process I tried creating lists for various hardware types. For example, I created a list with all DL380G4 servers to be the target of DL380G4 BIOS updates.
So far so good.
Then created a list for servers that have a Smart 6i Controller. However I alayws get a blank list. Here I am selecting the Smart 6i under software/firmware and settin git to "all versions". Am i doing something wrong? Is there a better way to do this?
One more question...is SIM smart enough to know what software is applicable. For example I have a group of servers being patched on Monday night -- some 2003 and some 2000. If I target a list of that patch group and select both the 2000 and 2003 PSP's will SIM know which to deploy? OR do I need to make seperate lists for each OS version?
Thanks!
