disabling alerts on systems management home page

I'm using IM agents 7.4.0b on ESX 2.5.1.
We only use half of our Fiber channel ports. The ports that aren't used display with the orange triangle as an alert on the systems management home page. Is there any way to disable this on the local host or should this be done on the SIM server side and how?
