Display of hardware status of system components like in CIM7?
Is there any way to gather component status information for display inside HP SIM without using the SMH?
In Compaq Insight Manager 7 it was possible to display a collection of recent hardware status information for all system components without logging onto the System Management Homepage (SMH) of the particular server. This was accomplished via SNMP.
In HP SIM 4.2, if I want to have the current system status monitored, I have to call the System Management Homepage, which opens in a separate Window.
For some server catagories the Compaq Web Agent service had to be disabled, so that for those systems the SMH is not available from within the HP SIM.
Thanks for your reply in advance.

Re: Display of hardware status of system components like in CIM7?
A colleague told me that the feature described above is not available any more in HP SIM, which as a consequence means that we'll only be able to monitor a subset of our servers with HP SIM and the rest with CIM. A little awkward, but seems to be the only solution.
