DMI with Insight Manager

I noticed in the install instructions for SIM with HP-UX that it mentioned that if I have WBEM installed on the managed nodes, I don't need DMI configured.

Does this mean that I can disable DMI on the managed nodes, as I have had some run-away problems with it?

Also, do I need DMI running anywhere in my SIM environment?

You can go ahead and disable DMI if you have WBEM installed. HPSIM uses any of the 4 protocols (SNMP,HTTP/HTTPS,WBEM,DMI) as per the users wish.
