Error in Custom Command after installing SIM 5.0 for Windows
Hi.
Whenever I try to use the Custom Command in SIM 50, i get the following error msg:
"The runnable task did not successfully build its environmental variable list. String index out of range: -1"
I use it with my GSM modem to send SMS, but I have also tried to make a simple command like running notepad.exe.
Thx

Re: Error in Custom Command after installing SIM 5.0 for Windows
Hi,
It's your regional settings in Windows 2003 that causes this.
My tests so far:
During install of Windows 2003 you change your regional settings to Danish, then install HP SIM. Now your Custom Commands do not work.
Install Windows 2003 with default U.S. settings, install HP SIM, change Rgional settings to Danish, and HP SIM continues to work.
When the damage allready has happend:
Deinstall HP SIM, change regional settings to U.S., reboot, re-install HP SIM, Change Regional settings to Danish.
This is a workaround, the actual problem has not been found yet.

Re: Error in Custom Command after installing SIM 5.0 for Windows
And now the EASY fix:
Edit globalsettings.props and change
CMSLocale=da_DK to
CMSLocale=en_US
and restart the HP SIM service.

Jesper
