Event categories and types
Hi everyone
I am new to SIM, I have installed it and done some basic configuration. Now I am trying to setup the Automatic Event Handling. Is there a list of the categories and the types anywhere as there are so many. Also some types are listed twice with numbers in parethesis. i.e. Auxalarm(153015), Auxalarm(153016) can someone please explain about this?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Re: Event categories and types
There differences in number reflect the different SNMP trap numbers that can be generated by different versions of the agents. The newer ones produce the later version of the trap. What generally happens is the older one is deprecated but we can't remove it because you might have that older agent still.
Dude, we've been totally misled by our album covers!
