Event details missing from some alerts

I was installing some new MIBs yesterday for a CISCO device. I think I broke something because today we realized some of our server alerts were being sent out with no event details section. It was replaced with a trap details section, but there wasn't any information under it. The alert was a rising threshold alert which normally lists the threshold levels passed. Do I need to go back and re-complie a MIB or should I just restore the system from last weeks system backup?

Re: Event details missing from some alerts

Additionally, the rising threshold alerts that I have received in months past have also been changed to no longer include the event details section of the alert. Would a folder restore of the MIB directory help me out?

Re: Event details missing from some alerts

This seems to be effecting about 70% of all the alerts that are coming in and all the alerts I have recieved in the past have been changed. It seems to be based upon the type of alert. For example, the Cluster Monitor Status Change alert still displays the entire Event Details, while the NIC Connectivity Lost Trap alert just says Trap details with no infromation below it.

Re: Event details missing from some alerts

What would happen if I unregistered every MIB and then re-registered all the CFG files before a certain date? Would they need to be in a special order?

Re: Event details missing from some alerts

I decided it would be a bad idea to unregister every mib. It is just as effective to re-register a MIB. It just takes longer.

The following fixed my problem:
I ran "MXMIB -F" and used every *.list file type located within the mibs folder. There were five files that needed to be loaded in order. These files end in the numbers 1-5. This succesfully reset the mibs.
