Events are not recieved on SIM server

Hi. I am having a strange issue - only some of hardware failures are generating events on SIM server. I use 4 test servers and I pull hard drives and power supplies out - only half of the time, event is generated and I get email notification.
I am using SIM 5 SP4 on Windows 2000 with SQL 2000 - 400 servers monitored.
Database is OK, about 500 M data file and transaction log is small.

It appears that new events are generated only if all previous events are cleared, but after aI get few uncleared events - no more hardware failures generate any events. All settings are correct - it was working for long time before and client settings never changed.

The only change was an upgrade from 4.2 to 5 SP 4 SIM

Hi,

If you upgraded, you will want to make sure that you are using the latest MIBs. The MIB collection can be downloaded from the HP Web site.
