Hello.
This is my problem : I have some Dell servers to monitor and I want to get hardware informations. I have installed and configured the SNMP service on the Dell servers, installed the WMI services but I don't have HW informations in SIM other than the NICs and the OS version.
Using the "How to manage non-HP x86 Windows servers with HP SIM" document, I have installed the WMI mapper service on the target server, even if I was not sure that is was necessary. No change.
The HP document is showing the HW informations of a Dell server and it is much more detailled than what I can see on my CMS.
I have updated the WBEM information in the property page of this server to use an admin account but no change too.
What am I missing ?
Thank you.

Solution
Hi Olivier,
You mentioned that you have checked the "How to manage non-HP x86 Windows servers with HP SIM" document to configure the settings. So i assume that all the settings are correct and fine.
I had the same issue wich came up few months ago...
I guess you might have gone through this:
http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=1048547&admit=-682735245+1154674539390+28353475
Try the Scriptomatic tool to retreive the information. it is available for download from:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&familyid=9ef05cbd-c1c5-41e7-9da8-212c414a7ab0
Is this the same thing we are looking for?
ALL THE BEST !!!!
Regards,
rmn

Re: Hardware inventory on Dell servers with WMI : how to ?
Thanks a lot.
After installing the WMI mapper on the target server, HW datas are now collected. They are not as detailled as in the Dell Console but are enough for a basic reporting.
Regards.
