High CPU Utilization of SIM agents under RedHat Linux
Hello,
We have number of HP DL740 servers with 20GB of RAM working under RedHat Linux Advanced Server 2.1 and 3.0. When we try to run SIM agents there, utilization jumps to 100%. There is a document at HP Support, "High CPU Utilization Using HP Storage Agents Under HP System Health Application and Insight Management Agents for Red Hat Enterprise Linux" (EU050107_CW01). It explains our problem fine, but doesn't solve it. It recommends "Edit the agent configuration file /opt/compaq/cma.conf, set the parameter cmaCloseCcissHandle=OFF". But we already have this parameter set during installation (in the latest agent versions, for example hpasm-7.3.0C-67). We have also same agents running under same version of Linux on DL380 with 2 GB of RAM, and all is working fine.
