How can i remove the Alert for HP NIC config utility.

Tried to upgrade it.... errors below.

Name: HP Network Configuration Utility for Windows 2000
New Version: 8.40.0.0

Beginning Silent Session...

The software is currently installed, but does not need to be installed on
this system.

Current Version: 7.41.0.0



Installation will not continue.



So can i remove it ? or is this what's running my teaming etc ?

Went through all the servers with SW status as Orange, and 7 of them is caused by Network Configuration utility... however it won't let me upgrade as it's not needed.

Come on guys, none have you have the Software status as Orange because of the HP/Compaq NIC configuration utility ?

hi,

it varies, some on 2000, some on 2003, 1850R, DL30's and a ML570.

Still the same issue... however most of the 'SW' errors on most of our boxes are for the NIC configuration utility... still can't upgrade it, still can't remove it...

Come on lads ? surely someone else has their SW status not green because of this error ?
