How do I add an MSA1500 to HPSIM?

I have added an MSA1500 storage device to HPSIM. Although I can see the device in my list of systems, HPSIM is unable to monitor the health status of the device. I added the MSA1500 simply by searching on the device name - do I need to perform any further tasks?
