How to avoid that missed scheduled tasks run?
Hi,
I had the weird problem that scheduled tasks were not run. HP SIM didn't even try to run them! It's like HP SIM thought it wasn't time yet to run them...
When the server with SQL Server was restarted, suddenly some of the missed scheduled tasks were run? How is this possible??? And how can I prevent missed scheduled tasks to be run? Servers were updated and rebooted during day time due to the late running of Install firmware and software scheduled tasks and that was NOT my intention.
I hope someone can help me out!
Thanks!
Pedro

Re: How to avoid that missed scheduled tasks run?
Christophe, is it possible the SQL agent stopped for some reason? I have seen this before. You can set SQL server to restart SQL Agent if it stops unexpectedly.
Right click SQL Server Agent in Enterprise Manager and choose Properties, Advanced tab.
Hope this helps.
