Re: How to configure Version Control Repository Manager.

Hi,

In accordance with our snmpd.conf test file (on redhat server 5.8)

you can try :

rocommunity public 127.0.0.1

view all included .1

after you have to restart net-snmp and hp-snmp-agents (and hp-health eventually)

Regards

PS : We haven't any suse linux but i thing your reference support pack isn't good. Have you any proliant support pack for suse linux server xx  in your vcrm ? (no interaction with your probleme)

Re: How to configure Version Control Repository Manager.

Hi,

I edited the /etc/snmp/snmpd.conf and restarted the snmp service fine,

but when I look at the /etc/init.d/hp-agents-snmp status they were all unused!

By trying to start them I get this

hp-sim-suse11:~ # /etc/init.d/hp-snmp-agents start
Trying to identify the Product Name.../etc/init.d/hp-health: line 454: [: : in teger expression expected

ERROR: This server is NOT supported!
Error: No supported management controller found

/etc/init.d/hp-health: failed to start! Please review log file for details.
The log file locations are documented in the hp-health(4) man page.

 also:

hp-sim-suse11:~ # /etc/init.d/hp-health status
Trying to identify the Product Name.../etc/init.d/hp-health: line 454: [: : integer expression expected

ERROR: This server is NOT supported!
Error: No supported management controller found

this makes me a little bit nervous, I will not hope that somebody turns the corner and says "ahem hp sim don't work on a vm!"

The Repository should be ok, here a screenshot. What I don't understand is the fact that I deselect the Red Hat Packets, but still got them in the Repository.

Re: How to configure Version Control Repository Manager.

Hi again,

I found out today that my bigges problem is my Kernel! Got a 3.x.x Kernel and that is not supported... So I´am gonna to install SLES11 with SP1 Kernel 2.6.x and hopefully everything works fine.

Re: How to configure Version Control Repository Manager.

Il setup a new VM with SLES11 SP1 Kernel 2.6.32.12-0.7-pae and got the some Error...........

hpsim:~ # /etc/init.d/hp-health start
ERROR: This Server is NOT Supported!
Error: No supported management controller found

In the logs of hp-health I got the same error.

There´s no sense... for me

Re: How to configure Version Control Repository Manager.

Would you mind posting how you solved the first error:

The Linux Version Control Repository Manager could not process the HTTP request because it contained invalid data.
