How to increase a managed agent of HP-UX in SIM
Dear Sir
My SIM CMS is running windows 2003 server, but our team have a HP 9000 server (OS is HP-UX)need managed by SIM, so i should be let the server (HP-UX) install VSE agent, but I don't understand, i just need "VSE agent" why i must install full "VSE Management Software", or have any method to solved this issue, Any suggestion will be appreciated.
Thanks a lot

Re: How to increase a managed agent of HP-UX in SIM
Hi
On the HPSIM web site see the following link : It describes all the necessary steps to get an HP UX server managed by HPSIM.
http://docs.hp.com/en/5991-4498/ch12s01.html#instHPUX
The HP Virtual Server Environment (VSE) is an integrated server offering that provides a flexible computing environment and helps to maximize use of server resources. It is a virtualisation solution provided by HP for its Pa-risc and Integrity environnemt. You would need the VSE software only if you are planning to create virtual servers.
