Re: how to setting up "Server Role" on SIM 4.1

Hi,
It is in management agents SNMP settings. Connect as administrator to agent "http://servername:2381" and select "Settings"->"SNMP Configuration"->"Management Agents"->"Server Role".

After change to refresh SIM list You must identify every changed system (on SIM select "Options"->"Discovery"->"Identify Systems...").

Best,
Grzegorz

Thanx but we don't see under Management Agent the Server Role field.
Our environment is based on Linux Red Hat 3.0 ES.
Could you explain if the list of installed agents is correct or where we are wrong?

'Server Role' has not been implemented in the Linux agents as of yet. Look for it in a future release.

Correcting the gentleman's post, to be able to select systems after entering information in the server role field requires a data collection task, not an identification task.
