I would like to get Insight manager to stop polling these switches. i have used Options > Discovery > Configure general Setting and added the swictches into teh Ping exclusion list, but this will probably just stop it from pinging the switches.
How would I get it to stop the pollig
The exact error I see in NNM is
Cisco incorrect community name (SNMP authenticationFailure trap) from acpbk01;2 .1.3.6.1.6.3.1.1.5.5.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.324 0

Re: How to stop insight manager polling specific hosts
I argue about this with our network guys at least once a year, when they move switches and then complain that they are seeing the polling errors in NNM. The easiest solution is for them to provide their SNMP READ string to so that it can be added SIM eliminating the authentication failures and the need to keep an exlusion list up to date for the switches.

Re: How to stop insight manager polling specific hosts
I have excluded the IPs from the discovery
I have deleted the discovered switches from SIM, but the SIM server still seems to be polling them

Re: How to stop insight manager polling specific hosts
I still have these error in NNM even though I have deleted the switches from SIM and also deseletced switches Discovery > Configure General Settings
Is there anything else I can do to stop SIM from polling these network devices
