How to stop Login Failed Authentication methods

HPSim 5.0 keeps sending Login Failed Authentication messages.

We have changed the password in the service and mxhpsimservice password as well. Is there somewhere else it needs to be changed?

HPSIM still seems to be working fine otherwise.

Re: How to stop Login Failed Authentication methods

Hi,
go to Options->Security->Login Event Settings and set it to NONE.

is this what you are looking for? :)

Re: How to stop Login Failed Authentication methods

Thanks for the reply, I actually found that option, but what I was hoping for was to find out how to make the what seems like false messages stop so that I can get legit authentication failed messages sent.

Re: How to stop Login Failed Authentication methods

This is the solution that worked for us...

Stop the HP Systems Insight Manager service.
CMD PROMPT:\ mxpassword -g
Choose the Modify Button
The Password Key Option should display the following options: MxHPSIMServicePassword, MxSshKeyPassword and MxDBUserPassword
Choose each one individually and modify the password
Modify the password of the MxDBUserPassword key to reflect the new password.

At a CMD prompt type the following syntax, this is case sensitive:
mxpassword -m -x MxDBUserPassword="password" (this is the new password)
NOTE: the " {quote} around the password is MANDATORY.
Start the HP Systems Insight Manager service and Login.
