HP SIM 5.0 SP3 and SP4 - Custom Tools are NOT working

Hi,
In SIM 5.0 SP2 for Windows the Custom Tools worked fine (if I remember correctly), but after I applied the SP3, and more recently the SP4, the Custom Tools are simply not working anymore, they appear to run indefinitly, but nothing happens, and when I try to stop it (kill that task) I receive an error and I cannot stop or delete that task in any other way (the only solution is to restart the HP SIM service on the CMS).
Any help would be appreciated.

I have the same problem with HP SIM 5 SP4. I opened a call to HP Support yesterday. No reaction form support yet.

Yep, turns out there is a bug when a device has an association (like iLO in a server). Try deleting the association (typically the iLO) and run the script against that device. See if that's what you have stumbled across.

I've tested your suggestion and I've been able to run the custom tool successfully towards a target system that was not HP (and have the iLO Management Processor reference/relationship), even if the Custom Tool actually ran on the SIM CMS, but I would still like to see this issue fixed in a future Service Pack.

The workaround offered by Darrin solved my problem, and if the issue will be fixed in a future Service Pack then I'm entirely satisfied with the problem resolution.
