HP SIM 5.1 - automatic event handling - 2. SMTP-Server ?
hello,
i'm using HP SIM to monitor three HP ProLiant systems. Most of the time everything is fine. One problem:
We have a SMTP-Server running (which is not provided by myself, but the information center), which i use to send emails as an automatic event handler. This SMTP-Server is sometimes a bit shaky. If HP SIM is sending an email at that time, SIM does not recognize when the SMTP-Server is available again. Although SMTP is available again, all following mails are qeued, but not send :-(. So my Hardwaremonitoring is not working any longer. Is there a away to configure SIM that it recognize running SMTP-Service again ? Or can i configure a second SMTP-Server, which SIM takes if the first one is not available ?
Thanks, Bernd
