HP SIM 5.2.2 installation fails

Trying to reinstall sim server on a windows 2003 sp2 with a local SQL 2005. Every attempt stops at "performing database population". The eventlog says "Restarting MxDTF" every 20 sec's. Can someone please help?
Tried to attach mxdomainmgr.log but file was to large.

Did you try uninstalling SQL and re-installing it before installing SIM???
