HP SIM disables JetAdmin
I cannot get both programs to work at the same time. It appears that the SNMP mechanism will not "feed" to both programs at the same time...
Both run fine independently though. We don't want to buy two machines for this task though.
Any suggestions?

Re: HP SIM disables JetAdmin
I have a similar problem.
I have HP SIM 4.2 installed on the same server that is running HP WebJetAdmin.
The problem I see is that both programs utilize Java, and when different administrators have both programs utilized via the their web based interface, the programs run sluggish, and the Java scripts appear to just stop running in the middle of an update.
Re-clicking on a link to redo the command seems to work, but it is still frustratiing since your never sure if the script has just stopped, or if the server is truely busy running in the background.
It is my hope that my HP rep will be bringing me SIM 5.0 very soon. It is my understanding that 5.0 does not utilize Java.

Here we go...
Go to this website
http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/pscmisc/vac/us/en/en/network_software/wja_technotes.html?jumpid=go/wja_whitepapers
then download the document titled:
"HP Web Jetadmin Integration for HP Systems Insight Manager"
It will tell you how to modify an XML file - sample and let these two programs work together. Works GREAT now !!!
