HP SIM in DMZ with C7000 Blade Enclosures
Hello
We have some troubles getting HP SIM working in our DMZ.
Our goal is to be able to manage/monitor C7000 Blade Enclosures with ESXi Hosts.
We've set up the ESXi Hosts with the HP Image, which should have the CIM Providers (or the things which give Hardware information) included.
At the moment we have these Ports opened in the DMZ:
SIM Server --> iLOs of Managed Server : Ports 22,80,161,443,3389,5023,17988
iLOs --> SIM Server : Port 162
SIM Server --> Managed Server NIC : Ports 80,161,2381,5989
Managed Server NIC --> SIM Server : 162,280,2301,2381
(We have all iLOs in different VLANs than NICs!)
We get the Enclosures and Blades in HP SIM (a sample of an discovered BL685 is in the attachment) but we don't get a lot of information (No OS Information, No IP-Adress except iLO IP, no HW Information...). I know that ESXi doesn't deliver much of information but I'm sure that there has to be more information and I suspect that we don't even get HW Failures from the iLO...
Does someone know, if we've forgotten some Ports to open?
Since we're a bigger company, we have HP Account Managers but they cannot help us, because they allways send us "sales-men" who doesn't even know as much about HP SIM as we do... :-(
Thats why I hope to find here in the ITRC Forum more answers...
Thanks in advance
Ville

We didn't set the right login credentials on each bladeserver and now it's ok!
