HP Sim newbie

Hi,

We are planning on installing HP Sim in our enterprise. On the server part can we separate all the components required ?
One server for the DB, one for IIS, one for the repository and one terminal server to access the console ?

Thanks

Re: HP Sim newbie

The DB can live on a separate Server.
HPSIM does not require IIS, it has its own http/https listener.
The VCRM can reside on a separate Server if you wish but is typically installed on the same Server. Why would you want to separate it?

TS access would work as normal but most access to HPSIM is browser based, so it can be accessed from anywhere.

You will need IIS installed on your CMS if you plan on rolling out Vulnerability & Patch Mgmt pack.

Re: HP Sim newbie

I was thinking it used IIS.
Since we have dedicated server for IIS and seperated ones as file server, it was natual to configured it that way.

Thanks.
