HP SIM service acct vs. authentication acct failing
I installed HP SIM a few weeks ago, creating service accounts as local administrators as appropriate.
At some point after it was set up, I got challenged for a user account to perform some configuration action, likely to enable an additional function. It was a really busy day and I really paid little attention so I have no detail on this.
In any event, the account I supplied at the time has expired, and the service account seems to still be using it for some kind of explicit authentication. I need to know how to find this and drive a stake though its heart, then get it to use my service account. It's making the HP Systems Insight Manager service constantly restart, so I can't get in to look for it. Where might it be configured?
I get the following application eventlog error:
com.hp.mx.database.DbVerificationException: Error loading database verification handler 'com.hp.mx.database.MsSqlVerificationHandler'
com.hp.mx.database.DbVerificationException: Error accessing database
Note that just adding access for the xxx01 account to the database won't work as the password has changed.
Security Eventlog:
