HP System Management Homepage Service

I am using Windows Server 2003 SP1.
In order to confirm with our security policy I tried to configure the "HP System Management Homepage" service to log on as a special service account. I granted the "Log on as a service", the "Replace a process level token" and the "create a token object" user right to this account. Unfortunately the service does not start with this credentials. Do I have to set any registry- or NTFS permissions?

Thank you for your help!

Re: HP System Management Homepage Service

Under Windows SMH usually runs as a LocalSystem or System level service. I don't know of anyone who has it running otherwise, not that it can't be done - I just haven't ever seen it done. The only thing I can think of is that the subdirectories that it installs and keeps it's configuration information are set with permissions - I believe it will need to have Administrator level permission to access the configuration files. There may be other hurdles to this but that is one that comes to mind.
