HPSim 5.0 Disk Fail Events after installing mibs
HPSim 5.0.
Disk failures are not being reported via email and are not incrementing on the HPSim traffic light register.
Disk mib upgrade has been applied.
SNMP read and write communities checked ok.
Multiple systems have had disks pulled…No result.
Event notification has been checked…Ok.
Email for other events is ok and works well.
The HW symbol on the home page of HPSim goes yellow, however the traffic lights at the top left do not change. Ie no event has occurred.
This was a customer installed application.
It was installed into a non standard directory structure and drive.
Any idears????

Re: HPSim 5.0 Disk Fail Events after installing mibs
Assuming your above statements are accurate, the first thing I would check is to make sure those particular traps are being accepted by SIM (Options - Events - SNMP Trap Settings). Focus on the "Enable Trap Handling" value.
