HPSIM notificaton for failure in ProLiant
I would like to know if HPSIM can be used to notify admin of a failure of a hard drive, and also to notify when recovery is finished for the failed hard drive. Thanks in advance.

Re: HPSIM notificaton for failure in ProLiant
HPSIM can notify you of anything it is told about.
For disks, it depends on where they are (local, MSA, EVA) and whether the relevent agents have been installed.
A failure should certainly be reported. The agent would use snmp to send a trap to the HPSIM Server.
Less certain about recovery completion, it may just turn up as an informational event.
