HPSIM4.0 and W2K3

Are there any issues with the VCR and Windows Server 2003? Reason I ask is that I've gotten the SIM to see the servers, but am consistently unable to set the VCRM set on these 2003 servers. Error indicates 'user id or password is invalid' which it is not. I reinstalled and reconfigured the Proliant Support Pack on servers, rediscovered them in SIM and still no good. All the servers can pring the VCRM server and visa versa. The VCRM is running on same server as HPSIM, which is a W2K server fully patched.
Any ideas greatly appreciated!

Check to make sure that there is a read/write community string in SNMP.

Oops, mea culpa!
Actually, it turned out to be something really stupid on my part. Wrong user id! I was trying to use 'admin' instead of 'administrator'. DUH! Sorry I wasted time with that!

But now I have a second question. How can I use two different repositories? I need one for Windows 2000 and one for Windows Server 2003. It looks at though I have to use one or the other for everything. Is there a way around that?

Thanks!

You shouldn't have to separate them unless you want to. The pointer to the VCRM is kept locally at the VCA, so theoretically you could have each individual server pointing to yet a different VCRM.

You can use a group config to distribute the settings.

Okay, if I'm reading you correctly, I can place all files from both support packs into the one repository directory? In my case it's under c:\repository.

Yes. The repository uses XML files to catalog the PSP. The idea was that a component such as cp000001.exe only needed to exist once and could be part of 2 or more different PSPs (the component may not have needed to update with a new PSP and/or it could be the same component for the W2K and WS03 PSPs). However, most people do put each PSP in its own subdirectory for organization, and VCRM can find anything in the tree below the configured directory.
