Ignore certain Driver updates in VCRM/SIM?

I am running the latest VCRM and SIM versions and have automatic downloads configured. Recently it downloaded a Emulex SCSIport driver, which I do not want deployed since I use the Emulex STORport drivers.

Right now all my servers have a yellow software status, because it thinks one of the drivers is old. How can I get the VCA to ignore the SCSIport driver and report back a green status?

The SCSIport driver comes with PSP 7.30, so if I remove it, I think the PSP will break.

You can delete the SCSIPort Driver from the VCRM repository via UI. PSP will not break and also It will not download the driver again.

Do not delete the file from windows folder. Delete it from the VCRM UI.

Negative. VCRM says it is part of a support pack and will not delete it.

You can use VCRM to create a custom Support Pack and leave the SCSI Driver out...

Re: Ignore certain Driver updates in VCRM/SIM?

Ok, why but why can't I tell VCRM to ignore certain updates? The SIM Administrator should have the power to approve updates. Sometimes I don't want a certain update for a period of time until testing is complete. But I don't want all of my servers showing up yellow during that period.

Like Microsoft's SUS, *I* want to determine what updates are approved for the network, not some automatic mechanism that I have no control over.
