ILO not associating with server in HP SIM

I have a few servers where the ILO's are not associating themselves with the server.
ILO are ILO1
server Bl20P G3
OS Win 2008
Hp SIM ver 5.3 SP1

the motherboards where replaced by HP a while back but have never assocaited. the servers used to be netware and I have just rebuilt them with windows 2008. I thought this would help.
the serial number and the product number are correct in the bios.

Is there anything else I can check to get them assocaited with each other in HP SIM.

I have tried adding and removing the ilo and server from HP SIM one at a time but with no luck

A trick that has sometimes worked for me is to run an Identification task on the ILO and Server together.

I've found that checking to ensure your DNS is all correct is the first step. After that try deleting both the iLO and server from SIM, and then rediscovering them both via a manual discovery. Try an identify on both the systems as mentioned above also.

Gold!

Been tearing my hair out over the association issue on a blade..

Crossing all the T's and dotting all the I's, followed by running an identify task on both the iLO and server at the same time sorted it.

Thanks.
