iLO's not linking up with servers in SIM 4.1

All,

I am having an issue where some of my ilo's link up with the correct servers and others don't link up at all. It is 50/50.. Are there any special setting that you know of that I need to check to ensure the ilo is linked up with the rib.

That way I can have a green check mark by the server under the MP colum.???

Any ideas??

On the ILO, Level of Information returned under Insight Manager Integration should be set to at least minimum.
Do the ILO's have fixed or DHCP addresses? check that the addresses of the ILO's are in the discovery range.
It seems to take a couple of identification passes to match them up. Try running that for the ILO/Server pair.

I am not sure exactly what setting you are talking about in your first line. Can you be more discriptive.

I have checked my IP's, which are on DHCP and the scopes are all included.

Login to https://. In the Administration Tab Select SNMP/Insight Manager settings.There under "Configure Insight Manager Integration" you find it. Set the level as you desire and then run a Identify System Task in HPSIM.

I had that problem with my Compaq Remote Insight Boards.
The solution was to remove the server in which the iLO Board resides and rediscover it in HPSIM (don't delete the iLO Board).

what about if I have the older RIB's, they dont have that setting like the iLO's. How do I get them to sync up with the server?

Great help on the iLO's though, that is working for me.

SIM can not perform the association on the older RIBs.

I don't think that's accurate - I have associations for all three types: ILO, RILOE and RILOEII. However it is very inconsistent - I have associations for some, but not others.

My SIM linked up with my RILOE Boards when I rediscovered the servers.
So in some way it seems to be working.
The funny thing was that the link was gone again on the next day.

Just my note, we also have links for all kinds of boards, both RILOE, RILOE2 and ILO but some boards still fail to link despite config, board firmware and whatever setting we have tested so far.
