ILO unreachable for 5 minutes
I have recently upgraded from SIM 4.1 to 4.2, now 2 of the servers ILO reports being unreachable for exactly 4 minutes and then becomes reachable again. It is only 2 of the ILO's reporting this. They keep doing it all day long, about 20 minutes or so apart.
Upon looking in the ILO log there is no report of it going offline, only in the insight manager. Is this a known issue, and is there a way to resolve it? When it is reported as being offline I can still connect to the ILO no problem.
I appreciate any thoughts on this.
Regards
Jeff

Re: ILO unreachable for 5 minutes
How often do you poll your systems? (or ILO cards from SIM)?

Re: ILO unreachable for 5 minutes
in SIM, under Options - status Polling the Hardware Staus polling is currently using the default settings:
Protocols used:
DMI, HTTP, PING, SNMP
Timout 4
Retries 1

Re: ILO unreachable for 5 minutes
I seem to be experencing the same problem with some of my ILO's as well. The configuration I have Hardware Status polling for servers set as follows.
Timeout 5, Retries 2. and this is set to use PING only.
