IM7 upgrade to SIM Host File?
We were told yesterday at a HP SIM presentation that we could export a hosts file from IM7 and import that file into SIM. How do you export a hosts file from IM7?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: IM7 upgrade to SIM Host File?
Cut and paste into Notepad would be a simple option and paste back into the SIM one.
I don't use a Hosts file, but when you create it, it asks for a name so this file should be somewhere in the IM Directory structure. I think it's just a text file so you could import that directly, or copy it to a suitable location.
HPSIM is more fussy about having the DNS resolve correctly. I've invested a bit of time ensuring out AD based DNS has entries for non-AD Devices and it is paying off with improved device identification with IM.
