IML Events Not Showing In SIM Server
We are running SIM 5.0 with 7.4 and 7.5 agents installed on our servers.
Alerts being logged in the IML are not appearing in the SIM events.
Has anyone seen this problem?
Thank-you

Re: IML Events Not Showing In SIM Server
I don't think all items are logged, what events in particular are you concerned about?
Have you configured SNMP on the servers to send Traps to HPSIM?
Test using the HP Management Agent GUI trap send button which generates a major event on HPSIM.

Re: IML Events Not Showing In SIM Server
The alerts we are most concerned about are the drive failures.
SNMP is configured and we have successfully tested in the system management homepage.

Re: IML Events Not Showing In SIM Server
A drive failure should be picked up by the agents.
The exception is some SAN devices where you need additional agents to monitor the arrays, e.g. EMA12000 etc.
You could also check in the HP Management Agents GUI that no sub-agent that might be applicable has been removed.
