Insight 4.1 running on XP
I have a problem where each day the system pages me saying all my systems are down and then backup. I know this is an IP issue when using a polling software running on XP. Has anyone found a work around for this?

Re: Insight 4.1 running on XP
Hi Scott,
I don't know if this applies to your problem, but I've just been setting up a new XP machine (which coincidentally happens to be my SIM server). I've been seeing E1000 event 26 and 27 in the System even log (the network connection disconnecting and reconnecting).
I first off unchecked "Allow the computer to turn this device off to save power" on the Power Management settings for the NIC, but this didn't help. I then configured the Power Options on the computer so that it doesn't hibernate and doesn't go into standby. This seems to have got rid of my E1000 event log messages.
Obviously, if you want the XP machines to go into standby/hibernation, then this doesn't help you.
Regards,
Gary
