Insight Manager and Blade Enclosure
Hello All,
We have got One Blade Enclosure with 8 BL20p Blades and two Power enclosures. We are running System Insight Manager 4.2 on one of the DL360.
All the Blades are visible within SIM but the enclosures are showing "?" Underneath HW options. Am I missing something within our SIM setup or Firmware on these enclosures, to see these Enclosures in SIM?
Thanks in advance.
regards
Vipin

Re: Insight Manager and Blade Enclosure
The enclosures do not have network connections and so can't be polled for status. The element that is shown in the 'All Systems' view can be considered a placeholder rather than a managed item.
HP SIM 4.2 has a new BladeCenter Integrated Console. In that, blades and enclosures are aggregated automatically together. A status is associated at those levels by aggregating the status of all of the components.
