Insight Manager and NetIQ AppManager on one server?

Hi,

can I run both HP Systems Insight Manager and NetIQ AppManager on one server? Any special things to consider if doing so?

You can do this. Just make sure that you have enough disk space (depending on how much data you collect in NetIQ).

My company has done this in our web hosting environment. They use 1 server. For the rest of the enterprise, we use 1 front end and 1 SQL server for our HP SIM/NetIQ monitoring.

Also, management applications tend to be very heavy in I/O because of all the traffic they are handling. Avoid things like RAID 5 and 7200 RPM drives and think more like RAID 1+0 and 15K drives or even a SAN.
