Installing HPSIM on Windows 2003 - Local Admin Account

On Chapter 3, Page 30 of "HP Systems Insight Manager 4.2 Installation and User Guide", there is an (important) note for Windows 2003 servers.

It says to use a local administrative account on the HPSIM server, and not a domain account. Can you tell me the reasons for this? The environment in which I work has strict guidelines for server security.

Are there implications if a domain account is placed within the local admin group on the server and used for the installation/services?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Re: Installing HPSIM on Windows 2003 - Local Admin Account

You can add to the local administrator's group domain\username. This will work. It is important that the inital install performs smoothly else you will have SSH issues and won't be able to proccess custom commands & VPM pushes. There are work arounds if the install is hosed but it will benifit you better for a clean install.
