Installing SIM with SQL Server

Having a problem getting the install past the step of connecting to the db. I've created a db on sql 2005 server called HPInsight. I've put in my username, password, domain, host and db name but the install responds with "Insufficient rights to the database." I'm using the username that created the db so it's the db owner... thanks for any help.
