Intergrated Management Log cannot clear entries
i have just installed HP SIM 4.1, one of our compaq dl360 with windows 2003 servers showed critical failure,so i logged on (as administrator) and i went to the integrated management log to clear the fault (rebooted from bugcheck) but it says that i am either not logged on as administrator (which i am) or snmp sets is not enabled, i double checked and snmp sets are enabled,
what else can i do to clear this fault?

Re: Intergrated Management Log cannot clear entries
I recently had a problem where I couldn't clear the entries and had to reboot the Server. That was on a Storage Management Console though.

Re: Intergrated Management Log cannot clear entries
direct via IML does not work, actually the SIM server was setup after the log entry was created so it is not listed in the SIM log but only in IML
it could have to do with the fact that snmp was installed without a password and i did copy password (*.acl) file over to this server yesterday so that i could at least get to this insight manager page.

Re: Intergrated Management Log cannot clear entries
The Web Agents can look at the IML and delete events. But the operation of the IML is completely independent of the agents. The Agent Passwords have nothing to do with the operation of the IML.
You should be able to Clear the IML Events from the IML GUI. If you cannot then the problem is to do with the IML.
As noted above it took me a reboot to clear a similar issue.

Re: Intergrated Management Log cannot clear entries
this evening i was finally able to reboot the server and the problem still persist so a reboot did not solve the issue, i will update the hp agents to the lastest version and see if that makes a difference
