Key fields in R_ reporting views
I'm not happy that HP decided to do away with the Index/Instance field in many of the reporting views in HP SIM 4.1. I'm now discovering that I'm getting duplicate entries for many of these views, and I'm having a hard time determining key fields.
Does anyone know definitively what fields (or field combinations) are supposed to be unique in each of the R_ views (especially in views such as R_NetworkInterface, R_PhysicalDisks, or R_PCIBoards)?
This is important; as I've stated in previous posts, I rely on the HP SIM DB to populate our server DB. In order to adapt our server DB from CIM 7 to SIM 4.1, I need to be able to figure out what fields are considered key/unique.
Frustrated . . .

Re: Key fields in R_ reporting views
I would suggest you wait for SIM 4.2 due out in December since it should correct a lot of the duplicate data entry problems.

Joel,
There seems to be a few things worth waiting for in HPSIM 4.2. We're all very keen to see it...
