License Migration from 5.1 to new server with 5.3

License Migration from 5.1 to new server with 5.3

Is there a way to move licenses from one server with SIM 5.1 to a new Server with SIM 5.3 loaded on it?
We have tried the registry key backup and move as suggusted but it didnt work for some reason.
any help would be appreciated.

You can store the license details in an XML file. This can be used to load or reload licenses into HP SIM.
There's docs on the format somewhere, but that might give an indication of where to look.

Also, not seen it yet, but the new HP SIM 6.0 seems to have some migration tools available with it. As I say, not seen it, but it may be worth holding off any upgrades until that is released.
