Local Passwords
Hi All, New to SIM, so not totally up on the workings. I have it installed and have a list of the servers, but on some, if I see an alert, it will take me straight into the local insight manager to see the problem, but on others I need to log in. This is the problem, as I dont know all the passwords, as I've joined the company after they were installed and they dont have a list of the passwords, so is there anyway of getting them back?
Cheers
Steve

Re: Local Passwords
hi, one easy way is to install the agents again, after reconig them. open the support pack, left side you will find the point configuratable agents. right mouse button and config and check the box overwrite old config (or something like this). see screenshot.

Re: Local Passwords
copy the cpqhmmd.acl file from c:\compaq\wbem from a machine you know the password over the existing file on the server you don't and restart the foundation and web agent services. You can then log in with the password you know.
In order to login automatically you need to go into the settings -> option menu from the management page for that server, set to "trust by certificate and add the certificate from your SIM server.
