login to SIM Web Interface Required twice

Hi,

I have HP SIM installed on a Red Hat AS 3.0 server. This is setup as the CMS for a few other RH server agents.

I access the Web Interface for the CMS from a Windows XP SP2 client using firefox and JRE Version 1.5.0 (build 1.5.0_01-b08). I always have to login to the interface twice before being successful. I am definitely putting in the correct password and no password fail error is returned. Anyone else come across this problem?

I've got the same problem.

We use exactly the same workstation configuration as you do, however our HP SIM setup runs on a W2K3 server, SQL 2000 SP3 database.

"Double login" problem not also appears in FireFox, but also IE.

Anybody out there with suggestions?

I also had this problem, it was suggested to me that it might be the length of password, however I have yet to change the password.

I am running Java 1.42_05 on the XP workstation. The server is running W2K SP4.

Same problem here. SIM server is a Proliant W2k3 and JRE 1.4.1. This does not seem to be a proxy issue, I changed this parameter with no success.

I'm also experiencing these issues. I do have a rather lengthy password at 14 characters, but is that really the problem here? If so to bad cause I'm not changing. BTW...I've just started a new thread for this subject.

The problem is that you have not imported the certificate that you are prompted for in your Trusted Root Certificate Store, once you do that you will not have to login twice to get to your SIM CMS web interface.

You may want to check the thread # 866016 where somebody posted a reply with a solution to the same issue, it refers to the link you saved in your favourites for the SIM web page: use either "https://CMS.FQDN.or.IP:50000/" or "http://CMS.FQDN.or.IP:280/", but not
"https://CMS.FQDN.or.IP:50000/login.jsp"
