Manage windows layer through HP SIM and agents


Dear All,

Does anyone know if it is possible to manage windows layer through HP SIM ? By "windows layer" I mean "windows services", "Event logs", "scheduled tasks", and so one...

I need to be able to monitor those things, receive alerts on changed status, on events errors....and I'd like to consolidate this with hardware stuff within HP SIM..

Anybody is aware of such a thing ?

By default, there isn't much for managing the Windows OS like this. However, if you're handy with scripting there are some things that can be done (stop/start services, etc.) In the 'Scripts and Tools' forum I posted my list of Windows scripting tools that do this.

I can't find the forum you mentioned... can you give me a link ?

Moreover, do you know how to send a snmp trap when a service startup fails ?
