Moved Server in DMZ, have problems with local Management Home page

hi

i recently moved one of our servers into our DMZ, i have not allowed for HP sim 4.2 to monitor this server but when I logon locally to the Systems Management Home page on the server in the DMZ, it does not give me the full homepage i am used to (see screenshot)

I have set the snmp settings to send traps to the localhost, and have removed the ip address of the hp sim 4.2 server but still no change, even after restarting snmp services.

to give the full picture the build in rilo II card is being monitored by the HP sim server and is using the pass thru feature to report on the server in the DMZ

the server is a DL380 G2 server and am running 7.20 hp software, when on 7.10 it did not work either, i will upgrade to 7.30 later on but don't think that is the issue

What should i do to get the Systems Management home page to work properly again

The screenshot you posted showing an empty page with only the Home-tab is an issue that is caused almost always by one of the applications using the SMH timing out. The SMH is an aggregated view of several applications. If one of those applications fails to respond in a timely manner then it causes a time-out and the SMH fails to render the page properly. The 2 most common problems that cause this issue are #1 the VC Agent is not configured properly pointing to a VCRM (or the VCRM is not reachable) or #2 there is some SNMP misconfiguration for the webagents that is causing the agents to not respond in a timely manner.
In the future the SMH will have some changes that will help identify which applications are not responding properly. I hope some of this information helps.

the VC agent is still pointing to hte HP sim server which it can no longer reach, but i am not able to configure it to not point at that server, or am I? and i just don't know how to do it

i will work on this and will let you know how i get on
