Need to Force Login of Version Control Agent
How do I force the version control agent to install on a W2K3 server? It just refuses to upgrade and just produces silly error messages. Tried removing through Add/Remove programs. Gone from there but the Service is still there though. Ended up completely removing all HP SIM components, renaming C:\HP to C:\HP.bak, rebooted server and still this version control program won't install. The error log produces either useless information or no information at all. I think there is a command line option to Delete a service so I need to know what this is to force the service off.
Patience running out and have spent over 2 hours now trying to sort it. Is there something in the registry I need to hack?
Thanks
Lenny

Re: Need to Force Login of Version Control Agent
just found Eric Sabo's post on 12th March and sure enough, deleting the service from the command line worked for me.
Command is 'sc delete cpqvcagent'
Therefore closing this post.
