PMP 3.1 and DL385 on W2K3EE
Hi all,
I'm running HP SIM 4.2 SP2 and PMP 3.1 on a W2K3 Server.
A DL380G2 and the CMS (a ML350G4) are recognized in PMP an working well.
2 new installed DL385 running since 3 Days also W2K3 Enterprise Edition are showing up with a Status "unsupported Server" on the licensing administration screen!
Newest ProLiant Supportpaqs installed!
Restarted Servers and Agents and discovered many times.
Anybody has an Idea where to start?
Many Thanks for any Onput

Re: PMP 3.1 and DL385 on W2K3EE
Hi Wolfram,
I think i'm having the same problems.
Except I am using my DL385 as my CMS. After a SmartStart install, the part where the HP agents load after your very first login, it takes a long time. In fact I think it hangs for a while.
Systems Management Homepage settings show no agents. And the servers is recognized as "unknown".
Have you ahd the same problems? Apparently on the HP website agents 7.30 are not supported, but 7.20 are. Its strange.
Gavin

Re: PMP 3.1 and DL385 on W2K3EE
Hi Gavin,
sorry, I see Your Answer right now.
I'm having problems only with PMP.
The DL385 is recognized by SIM and all is working fine with SIM 4.2 SP2 and PSP 7.30
I had the same issues that You discribed with DL385, SIM4.1 and PSP 7.20 only.
Thanks
Wolfram

Re: PMP 3.1 and DL385 on W2K3EE
I would suggest you install PMP 3.1.2 which now includes support for Windows 2003 SP1 and seems to correct some issues with servers running the 7.30 PSP.
