Servers not appearing in SIM 4.2 after AutoDiscovery
I’m running SIM v4.2 and have deployed PSP 7.20A to all of my servers, but about 5% of the servers do not appear within SIM after an Autodiscovery, although they will appear if I manually add them in.
I have confirmed the SIM Homepage on each of these servers is working correctly (eg. https://servername:2381).
Can anyone assist me ?

Re: Servers not appearing in SIM 4.2 after AutoDiscovery
SIM will add servers if it can ping them and assuming the servers in question and in the AutoDiscovery range [the IP range you told SIM to ping], I would check to see if your filtering devices [some people uncheck unmanaged & unknown devices - but some servers are in this state because they are not configure correctly].

Re: Servers not appearing in SIM 4.2 after AutoDiscovery
My 'Discovery Filter' had 'Unknown' and 'Unmanaged' ticked, but no 'Unmanaged' devices appeared after a discovery. But, when I turned off all of the filters, all my 'Unmanaged' servers magically suddenly appeared. Hmmm-> Why didn't it work previously?
Now, I have to work out why I have so many 'Unmanaged' and 'Unknown' devices.

Re: Servers not appearing in SIM 4.2 after AutoDiscovery
Unknown/Unmanaged tend to be devices it can *not* talk to via SNMP. Make sure the device that you want to talk to have SNMP setup and the community string is the same one SIM is using. By default Windows use to use the string "public" [read only] and "private" [read/create].
